something outrageous….. guaranteed to shake you up. When was the last time that you let your hair down? Went a little wild? Keep it legal but a little off the wall. Stretch out that comfort zone until it bursts. Laugh, cry, hit the punching bag…just let it out.
Take a day off…..to dream….. rid yourself of the staleness. Find a favourite spot and let your thoughts roam free. Take a note book with you and jot down the thoughts that spark your imagination…..or even the ones that don’t (at first). Dream little or dream big, just give your mind something different to savour. It may take some working at however, give yourself the time.
Imagine…..when everything IS fine with your world….. it might be a bummer at the moment but what if it wasn’t? “Picture” yourself in soon to be better times. Keep taking mental snapshots, make your pictures vivid. Repeat. Before you know it, you will be starting to take the steps to live it!
Write down 7 things that you would love to achieve in the next 12 months….. maybe this can be done on your dream day off? or spend 30 minutes or so simply writing down stuff. If you need more time, take it. Break this into as many sessions as you need because if your rut is deep then you will not be used to thinking any differently. Just “Imagine” if you need to. Go wild if you have to but write it down. This action will re inforce your thoughts & add some committment to the process. Write down as much as you can that enters your head. You can make sense of it later.
Think like a 20 something….. your thinking may be “rusty”. More than likely when you were in your 20′s, life was fast. Your thoughts were on the move, constantly. This was a time of many changes, you had to be ‘sharp’ otherwise opportunities went begging.
