attitude

Here are some things you can do, or stop doing, to put positive, healthier thoughts into your brain: Surround yourself with positive, encouraging people and engage in positive conversations. Walk away from gossip huddles! Read books or listen to audio books and podcasts to stimulate your brain and foster creative, motivational thoughts. Pray or mediate, giving thanks for the good things in your life. Many studies support the power of prayer! Listen to positive music. I know this will step on some toes, but pay attention to the lyrics of songs you hear on the radio or even on your own playlists. Many of them are very negative, self-destructive thoughts wrapped in a catchy tune. Stop watching or listening to news and talk-radio. Again, I know some of you are news junkies. Television, cable and radio news reports are saturated with negative stories and opinions that don’t make any impact on your day-to-day life. You can get all the news you need online where you can control which items to read and you don’t hear the negative voices.
