Here are some practical steps to help make sure that you have every chance of achieving your goals: 1.Make sure your goals are specific (eg. Clear the paper clutter on the table by Friday17 January) not generalisations such as Clear out Your Clutter 2.Break tasks into ‘bite size’ chunks – they’ll be much easier to start & carry through 3.Prioritise your goals, making your top priority your starting point 4.Set yourself a start date 5.Set yourself a finishing date 6.Write in your diary/planner dates in between to carry out the actions to achieve your goal 7.Write everything down – you’ll clear your head for creative thoughts and problem solving 8.Make sure your goals are realistic for you and your lifestyle or you’ll score an ‘own goal’ 9.Review your goals in late January/early February – once routines are back to normal 10.Start now!
